ST. LOUIS – The Colts got some good news just before taking off for St. Louis on Friday afternoon.
Guard Donald Thomas was removed from the physically unable to perform list on Friday afternoon, allowing him to return to practice for the first time since last year's Training Camp.
Thomas, who signed with the Colts during the 2013 free agency period, has battled injuries in his time with the Colts.
The veteran guard re-tore his quad during the first week of last year's Training Camp, thus ending his 2014 season in July.
It marked the second straight season Thomas was placed on injured reserve.
Back in 2013, Thomas' first season with the Colts came to an end in Week Two of the season when he suffered a biceps and quad injury in the same game.
Getting Thomas back to practice and eventually into game action will be key for the Colts as they look for some interior guard depth.
