INDIANAPOLIS – What did Colts players have to say this week after a second week of OTAs?
The Colts "Fan Fest" events kicked off on Thursday night with Darius Butler and T.Y. Hilton heading to Columbus, IN to meet fans. Over the next couple of weeks, the Colts will make several other stops around the state of Indiana and in Louisville, too. Check out those dates and locations here.
The Colts wrapped up their sixth week of the team's offseason program on Friday. Next week, the Colts will host their final four OTA sessions. The final week of the offseason program comes June 8-11. A three-day minicamp (June 9-11) will highlight the final week with an open practice on June 10 at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Colts Pro Bowl cornerback turned 27 on Thursday as he enters his seventh NFL season. Davis left Illinois a year early coming out of college and has reached the pinnacle of his career here in Indianapolis. There's no question that in 2014 Davis turned in one of the finest seasons for any Colts defender in franchise history.
Butler returns for a fourth season with the Colts, where he has rejuvenated his career. While Butler might not have his name announced each week with the starting 11, he's indispensible with how the NFL goes about things nowadays. The need for a more than adequate nickel corner is a must and Butler gives the Colts that piece. Earlier this week, Butler joined Dan Dakich on 1070 The Fan.
