The Associated Press announced on Friday that two Colts players were named Second Team All-Pros: linebacker Zaire Franklin and guard Quenton Nelson.

In 2024, Franklin led the NFL in tackles with 173, nine more than the player with the second-most tackles (Arizona Cardinals safety Budda Baker). He is the first Colts player to lead the NFL in tackles since linebacker Shaquille Leonard (163 in 2018). Starting all 17 games for the Colts, Franklin tallied 11 tackles for a loss, three and a half sacks and three pass breakups. The seven-year veteran and five-time team captain also set career highs in 2024 in interceptions (two) and forced fumbles (five).

This marks the first time Franklin has been named an All-Pro in his career. The linebacker was also selected for his first Pro Bowl following his performance in 2024.

Nelson was named an All-Pro for fifth time in his seven-year career; the guard was named a First Team All-Pro from 2018-20 and a Second Team All-Pro in 2021. Nelson now has the most total All-Pro selections, as well as the most First Team All-Pro selections by a guard in franchise history.

Nelson finished this season ranked among Pro Football Focus' top 10 guards in pass block grade (79.7) and run block grade (81.7) starting all 17 games and playing 100 percent of the Colts' offensive snaps in 15 of those 17 starts.

Nelson was also selected for his seventh consecutive Pro Bowl, becoming the first Colts player since Peyton Manning to make seven straight Pro Bowls. Nelson is also one of three offensive linemen in league history (Richmond Webb, Joe Thomas) to be selected to the Pro Bowl in each of his first seven seasons in the NFL.
