INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts will continue their longtime support of United Way of Central Indiana this Sunday, November 6, as Owner and CEO Jim Irsay pledges to donate $1 for every ticket distributed for the game. Fans will have the opportunity to join in this effort by dropping off a cash donation at any of the Colts Community Collection Stations, presented by Toyota, located outside Lucas Oil Stadium gates. Volunteers will be located at each of the collection stations from 11 a.m. until kickoff at 1:00 p.m.
This is the third consecutive year Irsay has made this pledge at a Colts home game. In 2010, the pledge resulted in a check presentation of more than $67,000 for United Way of Central Indiana. Sunday's check presentation will take place on the field during halftime.
Irsay's pledge is one of several ways the Indianapolis Colts are lending their support to United Way of Central Indiana. Throughout United Way's 2011 Annual Campaign, the Colts have offered an array of incentives, including chances to win tickets and memorabilia, for individuals who donate at least $150 or increase their past support by at least $150. The grand prize includes two (2) tickets to Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, Ind. on February 5, 2012. Additional information on these incentives and the Colts support of United Way of Central Indiana is available at www.uwci.org/give.
