INDIANAPOLIS – This month, there is a noticeably new color in the NFL – pink. From pink cleats to pink wristbands and even pink chin straps, teams across the NFL have joined in the national celebration of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. However, on-field apparel is not the only way the Colts are supporting this cause. Leading up to Sunday's matchup against the Chiefs, fans will notice several additional "pink" elements beginning Friday, October 8, including a main waterway that runs through downtown Indianapolis.
Through partnerships with the AAA, the American Cancer Society, Clarian Health and the IU Simon Cancer Center, the Colts are encouraging their fans to join them in supporting local survivors and raising awareness for a disease that affects thousands of women each year. Below is a list of the various events and activities the Colts have planned this week. For more information, visit www.colts.com/pink.
