The Indianapolis Colts today signed free agent cornerbacks Chris Culliver and Corey White. The team also placed cornerback Darryl Morris on the Injured Reserve List and waived-injured guard Blake Muir. If Muir clears waivers, he will revert to the Colts Injured Reserve List.
Culliver, 6-0, 199 pounds, has played in 52 career games (26 starts) and totaled 137 tackles (119 solo), seven interceptions, 34 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his time with the Miami Dolphins (2016), Washington Redskins (2015) and San Francisco 49ers (2011-14). He has seen action in five postseason contests (two starts) and registered 21 tackles (19 solo), one interception and four passes defensed. Culliver was originally selected by the 49ers in the third round (80th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft out of South Carolina.
White, 6-1, 210 pounds, has seen action in 66 career games (24 starts) and compiled 151 tackles (123 solo), 1.0 sack, six interceptions, 22 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries in his time with the Buffalo Bills (2016), Arizona Cardinals (2015), Dallas Cowboys (2015) and New Orleans Saints (2012-14). He has played in two postseason contests (two starts) and recorded eight tackles (seven solo). White was originally selected by the Saints in the fifth round (162nd overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Samford.
Morris, 5-10, 186 pounds, has played in 48 career games (three starts) and tallied 73 tackles (58 solo), 12 passes defensed, two interceptions and one special teams stop in his time with the Colts (2016), Houston Texans (2014-15) and San Francisco 49ers (2013). Last season, he appeared in 12 games (two starts) for Indianapolis and made 34 tackles (27 solo), six passes defensed, one interception and one special teams stop.
Muir, 6-6, 309 pounds, signed with the Colts as a free agent on May 15, 2017. He spent time on the practice squads of the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers as a rookie in 2016.
