The Colts added to the interior of their defensive line on Saturday, selecting Alabama defensive tackle Tim Smith in the sixth round (No. 190 overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-4, 306 pound Smith appeared in 64 games (32 starts) for Alabama from 2020-2024, totaling 124 tackles, 14.5 tackles for a loss, 6/5 sacks and one forced fumble for the Crimson Tide.

Smith capped his college career with one of his better games – a seven-tackle, two-tackle for a loss showing with a sack against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

With the Colts, Smith will compete as part of a defensive tackle rotation that returns DeForest Buckner, Grover Stewart and Adetomiwa Adebawore (plus 2024 practice squad player Pheldarius Payne); veteran Neville Gallimore signed as a free agent this offseason.

Smith is a native of Gifford, Fla. and played his high school ball at Sebastian River.
