The Indianapolis Colts today elevated nose tackle Joey Mbu to the 53-man roster from the practice squad and placed wide receiver Quan Bray on the Injured Reserve List.
Mbu, 6-3, 323 pounds, was signed to the Colts practice squad on September 4. He participated in the Washington Redskins' 2017 offseason program and training camp before being waived on September 2. Mbu has played in two career games in his time with the Redskins (2016) and Atlanta Falcons (2015-16) and totaled four tackles (one solo).
In 2016, Mbu spent time on Washington and Atlanta's practice squads. As a rookie in 2015, he spent most of the season on the Falcons practice squad before being signed to the team's active roster for the final four weeks of the regular season. Mbu saw action in two games and registered four tackles (one solo).
Bray, 5-10, 183 pounds, has played in 24 career games with Indianapolis over the last three seasons (2015-17) and has registered 45 punt returns for 314 yards (7.0 avg.) and 48 kickoff returns for 1,231 yards (25.7 avg.). He has also compiled six receptions for 75 yards and one carry for seven yards. Bray was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2015 out of Auburn.
