Football season is almost here, and that means so is football food. And the Colts have some of the best.

This Tuesday, the Colts invited media members and suite holders to Lucas Oil Stadium to introduce the culinary staff's new dishes in the team's fourth annual culinary showcase. The menu, cultivated by new Executive Chef Ryan Robinson, was created with the goal of showcasing the local food scene in Indianapolis.

"I love this city," Robinson said Tuesday. "I love the people, I love the team, and I'll tell you it's a sleeper community as far as cuisine goes. Because I've had some awesome food in these restaurants. So that's inspired me, that's inspired our team to really push the envelope and to really push the items that we're offering you all to the next level."

New menu items and local partnerships took center stage during the Colts 2024 Culinary Showcase.

The Colts were ranked fifth across the NFL for food and beverage experience in 2023, and Robinson's goal – as well as that of the rest of the organization – is to only improve upon that ranking. In partnering with Indiana-based companies like Moon Drop Distillery (Fortville) and Hartwell's Premium Dressings (Greenwood), the Colts aim to help all fans become more immersed in the Indianapolis community.

Those partnerships – and the new food and drink that come with them – aren't the only new things in Lucas Oil Stadium this year, however. Robinson has partnered with the stadium itself to create an onsite culinary garden, in which various produce such as thyme, rosemary and Thai chili peppers will be grown. All the produce will be incorporated into various food and drink offerings throughout the stadium.

"We're partnering with the stadium with their sustainability initiative," Robinson said. "Eventually, we want to evolve this into something that could possible provide a good portion of the produce that we use in this facility."
