Indianapolis – The Indianapolis Colts and mascot "Blue" tomorrow will launch "BlueU," a new resource from the Colts providing free videos to Indiana educators that help students get physically active, learn social responsibility and take part in lessons outside the classroom.
Blue will be joined by Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction Dr. Jennifer McCormick, who has partnered with the Colts to promote the new offering to Indiana schools, and Wayne Township Superintendent Dr. Jeff Butts.
"An engaging classroom creates an active learning environment for children," said Dr. McCormick. "I am grateful for our partnership with the Indianapolis Colts Mascot Program and the opportunity to create interactive materials for educators that encourage and motivate students."

To begin, BlueU will offers six videos, each two to four minutes long. Throughout the school year, additional videos will be added, each with a different theme and key learning moments for students. The videos are geared toward elementary and middle school students and will be offered free of charge via Colts.com/BlueU.
"Blue is one of the Colts' most recognizable faces, and we are so pleased he is able to partner with the Department of Education to offer a new resource to students and teachers across the state," said Stephanie Pemberton, Colts vice president. "Blue has the ability to deliver powerful messages to kids in a fun and enjoyable way, and he will use this platform to continue promoting education and supporting Hoosier educators."
After the presentation, Blue will perform one of his School Shows, which he stresses the importance of many topics ranging from health and fitness to reading to conserving energy. Blue performs more than 125 free School Shows across the state each year.
