INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts today waived linebacker Zac Diles, offensive guard Jaimie Thomas and offensive tackle James Williams.
Diles was claimed off waivers by the Colts on December 5, 2011. He saw action in four contests on special teams. In his four year career, which also includes stints with the Houston Texans (2007-2010), St. Louis Rams (2011) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2011), Diles has totaled 206 tackles (150 solo), one sack, one interception, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery.
Thomas was originally a seventh round draft selection by the Colts in 2009. He was a member of the practice squad during his rookie season prior to appearing in eight games on special teams in 2010. Thomas missed the 2011 campaign and was placed on Injured Reserve on August 19.
Williams was placed on the Colts Waived/Injured list on August 9, 2011. He was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by Tampa Bay on April 26, 2010. Williams was released by the Buccaneers and signed by Indianapolis on December 14, 2010 where he spent a portion of the season on the practice squad.
