COLTS MAKE ROSTER MOVES

Indianapolis addresses roster needs with additions.*

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts today signed linebacker Scott Lutrus from the St. Louis Rams practice squad, signed quarterback Jarrett Brown to the practice squad, placed defensive back Stevie Brown on Injured Reserve and released tight end Mike McNeill. The Jacksonville Jaguars also claimed quarterback Dan LeFevour off the Indianapolis practice squad.

Lutrus, 6-3, 241 pounds, was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars on July 27, 2011. He was released by the Jaguars on September 2 and was then signed to the St. Louis Rams practice squad on September 5 where he has spent the remainder of the season.

Lutrus was a four-year starter at UConn where he totaled 341 tackles (206 solo), 5.0 sacks, 26 tackles for loss, six interceptions and nine passes defensed. He served as a team captain in his final two seasons.

Jarrett Brown, 6-3, 225 pounds, was originally signed by San Francisco as an undrafted free agent on April 24, 2010. He spent a brief period on the 49ers practice squad that season before being release. Brown was then signed by the Cleveland Browns on January 8, 2011 prior to being released following training camp.

At West Virginia, Brown played in 38 games (15 starts) and completed 268-of-421 passes for 2,943 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also added 1,138 rushing yards on 234 carries with 14 scores.

Stevie Brown was signed by the Colts as a free agent on September 20, 2011. He competed in seven games primarily on special teams.

McNeill was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on July 29, 2011 and has spent time on both the practice squad and active roster. This season he has competed in two games and made his NFL debut against Houston in the season opener.

LeFevour was signed to the practice squad on November 9, 2011 prior to being claimed by Jacksonville to their active roster.
