INDIANAPOLIS —Another week, another key AFC South Divisional battle for the Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts (2-4) today play host to the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-3) hoping to climb back into the conversation in the division, which currently features a three-way tie between the Jaguars, the Houston Texans and the Tennessee Titans.
So without further ado, here are some major plays as they happened each quarter in the game itself:FIRST QUARTER
9:30: Jaguars running back Chris Ivory, on 3rd and Goal from less than one yard away, punches it in for a game-opening touchdown, capping a 12-play, 75 yard drive that took 5:30 off the clock. The Jaguars did most of their damage through the air, as quarterback Blake Bortles completed 4-of-5 passes for 41 yards. Jacksonville also got the job done on third down on the drive, converting all three attempts.**

INJURY UPDATE:**
Cornerback Rashaan Melvin is "having a medical evaluation and his status (to return) is unknown," the team announced just before the Colts started their first offensive drive of the day. Definitely something to keep an eye on; Melvin went to the sideline during the Jaguars' first drive and was replaced by Chris Milton; the team only has one other backup cornerback available now: Kenny Moore II. Quincy Wilson and Pierre Desir are both inactive.5:01:
The Jaguars strike again, going 70 yards in just four plays and reaching the end zone again on a five-yard fade pass from Bortles to tight end Marcedes Lewis. The key play of the drive was a 52-yard pass from Bortles to wide receiver Keelan Cole, who was able to break free from Milton on the play.INJURY UPDATE:
Melvin (concussion) is OUT for the rest of the game.0:00:
At the end of the first quarter, the Jaguars lead the Colts, 14-0.
SECOND QUARTER
7:38: The Jaguars go on another long drive, but are held to a field goal this time around, as new kicker Josh Lambo connects from 42 yards out to extend Jacksonville's lead to 17-0. Twelve plays, 67 yards and 6:35 on that drive for the Jaguars, who now have possessed the ball for 13:59 compared to just 8:23 so far for the Colts.INJURY UPDATE:
Rookie safety Malik Hooker goes down on a long passing play with about three minutes to go in the half. Though he did not need a cart, he walks with a noticeable limp to the Colts' sideline. No update on him yet, as well as outside linebacker John Simon, who hasn't been in for at least about half the second quarter.1:56:
Lambo connects from 33 yards and the Jaguars extend their lead to 20-0. Jacksonville originally got into the end zone on the drive, but a pass interference call on Marqise Lee, who ended up making the catch, ruined that opportunity for the road team.INJURY UPDATE:
Simon has a stinger and is out for the rest of the game. Hooker, meanwhile, has a knee injury and his status at this point is unknown.0:00:
At halftime, the Colts trail the Jaguars, 20-0.
THIRD QUARTER
INJURY UPDATE: Hooker (knee) has been ruled OUT for the rest of the game. Then, center Ryan Kelly wasn't in to start the second half for the Colts.11:24:
Matthias Farley is doing what he can to try to rally the troops. On the previous play, he stripped running back T.J. Yeldon, and the ball was recovered by cornerback Kenny Moore II; however, a replay showed Yeldon's knee was down prior to the ball coming out. On the very next play, Farley came in and stripped Chris Ivory, and the safety did the rest, diving on the loose ball and securing the Colts' second takeaway of the afternoon, though the offense was unable to capitalize.INJURY UPDATE:
Kelly, who has a hamstring injury, will not return to the game.5:58:
Yeldon sprints his way to a 58-yard touchdown run, and now the Jaguars' lead is 27-0.1:43:
The Colts get all the way to the Jacksonville 6-yard line, but faced a 4th and 2. Down 27-0, they have to go for it, but Jacoby Brissett's sneak play is stuffed for no gain. Turnover on downs.0:00:
At the end of the third quarter, the Jaguars lead the Colts, 27-0.
FOURTH QUARTER
0:00:The final score today: Jaguars 27, Colts 0.
