The Colts on Saturday downgraded quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) to doubtful for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Stadium.

Richardson, who was a limited participant in all three of the Colts' practices this week, was initially listed as questionable on Friday's practice report.

Richardson sustained an oblique injury in the first half of the Colts' Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Prior to his injury, he completed three of four passes for 71 yards and rushed three times for 24 yards.

Earlier this week, Richardson was asked what would tell him he's ready to practice – and ultimately play – again.

"Whenever my body lets me know that I'm good," Richardson said. "That's really the main thing that we're waiting on right now. We've made a lot of progress, but we're still trying to work on certain things."

If Richardson is inactive on Sunday, the Colts will turn to 17-year veteran Joe Flacco.

The 39-year-old Flacco tagged in for Richardson in Week 4 and completed 16 of 26 passes for 168 yards with two touchdowns, no interceptions and a passer rating of 105.9. Flacco won 2023 AP Comeback Player of the Year honors with the Cleveland Browns, where he led a playoff push by throwing 13 touchdowns over five starts.

The Colts on Saturday additionally downgraded center Ryan Kelly (neck) from questionable to doubtful and added cornerback Sam Womack III to the injury report with an illness. Womack is listed as questionable.
