INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are proud to announce Kirk and Brenda Forbes as the third honoree of the 2017 Colts Anthem Angels program, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. The Forbes, local residents of Noblesville, IN, will be recognized at the Colts home game this Sunday, October 8, 2017.
In honor of their late daughter, Kirk and Brenda Forbes founded the Kristen Forbes Eve Foundation. They wanted to create a legacy for Kristen, who passed away 11 months after being diagnosed with cervical cancer.
The Forbes founded the Kirsten Forbes Eve Foundation to promote their mission to educate and screen, vaccinate, and eradicate HPV caused cancers. The Foundation has shared Kristen's courageous battle in the book Love, Kristen, and is part of the Cervical Cancer-Free Indiana Initiative. Kirk and Brenda Forbes have supported cervical cancer awareness initiatives in 19 states and have appeared on the Dr. Oz Show which provided them a national platform to tell their story.
Kristen's story is also part of Someone You Love – The HPV Epidemic. The documentary tells the stories of five women who have been affected by cervical cancer and has been shown around the world and translated into multiple languages.
Through their tireless devotion and educational efforts, we want to congratulate Kirk and Brenda Forbes as this week's Anthem Angels as they continue to champion the fight again cervical cancer.
Kirk and Brenda Forbes will receive four (4) VIP Club Seat Tickets to the Colts game, a feature story with their photo in the Colts gameday magazine (the Scout) and on www.colts.com, as well as on-field recognition at the game.
