INDIANAPOLIS – The Indianapolis Colts are proud to announce Brooke Moreland-Williams, the 21st Century Scholarship Coordinator at Indiana University — Purdue University Indianapolis, as a 2016 honoree of the Colts Anthem Angels program, presented by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield. Moreland-Williams will be recognized at the Colts home game this Sunday, November 20, 2016.
"Compassionate, positive, self-less and dedicated" were just a few of the words used to describe Brooke Moreland-Williams. A young woman, once homeless who worked hard to beat the odds, has dedicated her life to giving back to the community through higher education. Using her past experiences as inspiration, she understands and implements the importance of education for all individuals in her daily life.
Moreland-Williams currently holds a role as the 21st Century Scholarship Coordinator at IUPUI where she interacts daily with students to ensure they reach their collegiate goals, offering guidance throughout the scholar program.
Moreland-Williams believes every child should have the opportunity to go to college and aspire more for themselves. She started the Rose of Hope Foundation – a mentor program encouraging youth to make better decisions and offering resources to help achieve success.
For her commitment and passion to helping youth realize and reach their educational potential, we are proud to honor Brooke Moreland-Williams as our Anthem Angel.
Moreland-Williams will receive four (4) VIP Club Seat Tickets to the Colts game, a feature story with her photo in the Colts gameday magazine (the Scout) and on www.colts.com, as well as on-field recognition at the game.
