INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts are wasting little time finalizing contracts with their 2016 Draft Class.
On Thursday night, the Colts announced they had agreed to terms with defensive tackle Hassan Ridgeway, tackle Joe Haeg, linebacker Trevor Bates and center Austin Blythe.
With Ryan Kelly kicking things off on Wednesday, the Colts now have five of their eight draft picks under contract.
The 2016 rookie class is now in Indianapolis and will begin a three-day rookie minicamp on Wednesday.
DT-Ridgeway (6-3, 314 pounds): The fourth-round pick out of Texas is known for his pass rushing ability. Ridgeway enters a young defensive line room waiting to see when Arthur Jones and Henry Anderson will be ready to return to action.
OT-Haeg (6-6, 304 pounds): After blocking for No. 2 pick Carson Wentz in college, Haeg now will be blocking for Andrew Luck. Haeg started 60 games at tackle (31 at left tackle, 29 at right tackle) for North Dakota State.
LB-Bates (6-2, 245 pounds): Bates, a seventh-round pick out of Maine, gives the Colts a potential edge rushing option behind the likes of Robert Mathis, Erik Walden and Trent Cole.C-Blythe (6-2, 291 pounds): The Iowa center rounded out the Colts' eight-man draft haul. Blythe, Kelly and Jonotthan Harrison are the three centers currently on the roster.
