INDIANAPOLIS – – With the cold Indiana weather just around the corner, the Indianapolis Colts, WTHR, The Salvation Army and Tuchman Cleaners are once again teaming up for the Coats for Kids pre-game collection. This year's collection will take place prior to kickoff of the Colts vs. Steelers game on Sunday, September 25, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at the Colts Community Collection Stations, presented by Toyota, located outside each Lucas Oil Stadium gate. Fans are encouraged to bring their new or gently used coats to drop off at the collection sites before they head into the stadium. WTHR personalities, as well as Tuchman and Salvation Army volunteers, will be stationed at each site. Cash donations will also be accepted.
Fans not attending Sunday's game can still participate in the Coats for Kids program by dropping off their donation at any Indianapolis Tuchman Cleaners location through October 24, 2011.
This year marks the 25th anniversary of Coats for Kids. The Coats for Kids program is dedicated to providing free winter coats to children in need throughout Central Indiana. This year's Coats for Kids distribution will take place on Saturday, October 29th at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. For more information, visit www.wthr.com.
