ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. —With snow flurries in the air and wind chills in the teens, we officially have football weather in Western New York.

The Indianapolis Colts (3-9) today are on the road for a second straight week, as they take on the Buffalo Bills (6-6) at New Era Field.

The Colts are looking to bounce back from last week's 30-10 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars at EverBank Field, in which Indianapolis fell in a 10-0 hole and couldn't catch up from there. But another loss for the Colts today, and they're officially eliminated from the playoff picture.

The Bills, meanwhile, are still very much in the playoff hunt, but are coming off a 23-3 loss to the Patriots last week here in Orchard Park.

So how will today's game pan out? Here are some major plays as they happened each quarter:

**FIRST QUARTER

0:00: **At the end of the first quarter, the Colts and Bills are scoreless. In a near whiteout, both teams have mostly relied upon their run games, but the closest either would get to putting points up on the scoreboard — if you could even see it — was a 33-yard field goal attempt by Adam Vinatieri that was way off the mark. The Colts had 11 plays from scrimmage in their opening drive; all were runs. Frank Gore had nine of them for 30 yards, while Marlon Mack had two carries for 17. The Bills, with rookie quarterback Nathan Peterman making his second-career start, attempted two passes on their opening drive, and have the ball again heading into the second quarter.

SECOND QUARTER
6:13:We have a pass from the Colts! After starting the game with 17 straight run plays — becoming the first team in the NFL not to attempt a pass in the first quarter this season — the Colts attempt their first pass attempt, an 11-yard connection from Jacoby Brissett to Mack along the right side. The playaction worked well, but Indianapolis would only get as far as the Buffalo 32-yard line before facing 4th and 4. Head coach Chuck Pagano elects to go for a punt, which is a dandy from Rigoberto Sanchez — with an assist to the snow — and is downed at the Buffalo 2-yard line.

0:27:The Bills, somehow, get into the end zone. On a two-minute drive that would include runs of 23 and 25 yards, respectively, by LeSean McCoy, the passing game, surprisingly, took over from there. A 21-yard pass play from Peterman along the right sideline to big target Kelvin Benjamin was good for 21 yards to the Indianapolis 8-yard line — on a play in which cornerback Kenny Moore II would be injured — and Peterman went right for Moore II's replacement, Chris Milton, on the very next play, as he connected with Benjamin on a fade pass in the end zone for the touchdown.

0:00:At halftime, the Bills lead the Colts, 7-0.

THIRD QUARTER

0:00: At the end of the third quarter, the Bills remain on top, 7-0. It was mostly an uneventful 15 minutes other than two developments: first, Peterman has had to exit the game after taking a hard hit, and is being evaluated for a head injury. Then, we had our first takeaway of the day late in the quarter, as outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo chased down Mike Tolbert, forced a fumble and was able to dive on it to get the ball back for the Indy offense.

FOURTH QUARTER
1:16: In one of the craziest drives and sequences you'll see this season, the Colts go on a 19-play, 77-yard drive, highlighted by two fourth-down conversions, to find the end zone on a three-yard touchdown pass from Brissett to tight end Jack Doyle. The Colts appeared to get a go-ahead two-point conversion to Doyle, then, but an offensive pass interference call on Kamar Aiken wiped it out, and set Vinatieri up for a game-tying extra point attempt from 43 yards. After his teammates feverishly cleared out a spot, Vinatieri just barely snuck in the kick, tying the game at 7.

OVERTIME
1:39:After the two teams trade punts to begin the overtime period, the Bills use a big play through the air, as Joe Webb finds Deonte Thompson for a 34-yard completion to the Indianapolis 26. Three plays later, McCoy finds an opening for a 21-yard, walkoff touchdown run, and the Bills get the win, 13-7.
