Colts Audio Network to debut new podcast on 'The Move' from Baltimore to Indianapolis in 1984

The four-part narrative podcast series will debut on Monday, June 24 on the Colts Audio Network, which is available on all major podcast platforms.

The Colts Audio Network next week will debut "The Move," a four-part podcast chronicling the historic move of the NFL's Colts from Baltimore, Md. to Indianapolis in 1984.

Written and narrated by Colts writer J.J. Stankevitz and produced by Colts coordinator of radio production Casey Vallier, the first episode – "Baltimore" – runs Mon., June 24 and tells the story of the Baltimore Colts, from the glory days of Johnny Unitas to the struggles of the team in the early 1980s.

Remaining episodes include:

  • Episode #2: "Indianapolis," telling the story of how the city used sports as a vehicle for economic development, culminating in building the Hoosier Dome without an NFL tenant. Runs Mon., July 1.
  • Episode #3: "Mayflower," telling the story of why and how the Colts moved in the middle of the night on March 28, 1984. Runs Mon., July 8.
  • Episode #4: "Aftermath," telling the story of how the Colts pulled off the 1984 season in Indianapolis months after arriving, and how Baltimore reacted to losing their team. Runs Mon., July 15.
