The Indianapolis Colts held the club's fifth Make It Personal event of the summer at AAA in Avon on Thursday. Offensive guard Jamey Richard and offensive tackle Adam Terry joined cheerleaders Ashley H. and Larissa S. at Thursday's event to sign autographs and take pictures with fans.
Thursday's Make It Personal proved to be an afternoon of fun for all ages. In attendance were several Colts Junior Cheerleader squad members. Four girls from the squad joined the cheerleaders and players at the event and promoted Junior Cheer while giving support to their favorite players and cheerleaders.
The girls are part of a program set up by the Indianapolis Colts Cheer department. The program allows girls ages 7-14 to see what it means to be a Colts cheerleader. Junior Cheerleaders get opportunities to dance on the field during games at Lucas Oil Stadium as well as train with Colts cheerleaders to learn valuable cheerleading and dancing skills.
Junior Cheerleader Stephanie just joined the squad and is looking forward to her first year as a Junior Cheerleader. Stephanie is "Having fun and looking forward to all of the upcoming Junior Cheerleader events."
MiKayla, another Junior Cheerleader, is entering her third season and says her favorite part about being a Junior Cheerleader is getting to perform on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Aubrey, also entering her third season, agrees with MiKayla and says, "Performing on the field is my favorite part."
The girls spent the afternoon in Avon promoting Junior Cheer and enjoying all of the Make It Personal elements. They had fun on the Colts inflatables and even took a group picture with Air Blue. Stephanie, Aubrey, Corrine, and MiKayla, along with other Colts fans, picked up give-a-ways from the Colts and sponsors.
The Indianapolis Colts will be heading to Madison, Indiana on Monday, June 14th for the sixth Make It Personal stop of the summer. Check out Colts.com to find a Make It Personal tour coming to a city near you.
