The Colts on Saturday downgraded quarterback Anthony Richardson (back, foot) from questionable to out for their Week 17 game against the New York Giants.

Richardson did not participate in practice this week. On Friday, the Colts listed Richardson as questionable for Week 17, and head coach Shane Steichen said the team would monitor Richardson's status ahead of Sunday's trip to MetLife Stadium.

With Richardson out, the Colts will turn to veteran backup Joe Flacco, who will start his fifth game in 2024. Flacco on Friday said he's prepared this week as if he would start, even if there's been uncertainty as to whether Richardson would be good to go or not.
