INDIANAPOLIS – The Colts have ruled Andrew Luck OUT for Thursday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Luck did not practice all week after suffering a concussion in Sunday's win over the Titans.
With Luck out, the Colts have healthy quarterbacks Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris on the active roster.
After Thursday, the Colts will not play a game until Monday, Dec. 5, giving Luck extended rest to make it through the concussion protocol.
Here is the rest of the injury report going into Thursday night's game with the Steelers:
**INJURY STATUS FOR WEEK 12
**
- OUT: S-Clayton Geathers (concussion): The Colts missing Geathers on Thursday night is major, major news. Geathers allows the Colts to do several different things defensively. Will the absence of Geathers hinder what the Colts would ideally like to use against Pittsburgh's potent passing attack?
- OUT: QB-Andrew Luck (concussion): Luck did not practice all week and is OUT. This article details a little more what the quarterback situation now looks like. Scott Tolzien and Stephen Morris are the healthy quarterbacks for Thursday night.
- QUESTIONABLE: CB-Vontae Davis (ankle): Davis was a in a walking boot on Monday and Tuesday. He's questionable for Thursday. Davis was listed as limited for Wednesday's final "practice." Last week Davis was a late addition to the injury report, but still played against the Titans. Having Davis is obviously a critical element to the Colts trying to slow down Ben Roethlisberger and company.
- QUESTIONABLE: CB-Donte Moncrief (hamstring): Moncrief was a new addition to the injury report. He was limited at Wednesday's "practice."
FINAL INJURY REPORT
Here is Wednesday's injury report, a final walk-through practice:
-DNP: S-Clayton Geathers (concussion), QB-Andrew Luck (concussion)
-LIMITED: CB-Vontae Davis (ankle), WR-Donte Moncrief (hamstring)
-FULL: DT-Arthur Jones (knee/ankle), OLB-Robert Mathis (rest), CB-Rashaan Melvin (back), CB-Patrick Robinson (groin)
ROSTER MOVES
*The Colts made several roster moves on Wednesday. The big one came when they elevated quarterback Stephen Morris to the active roster. To make room for Morris on the 53-man roster, the Colts waived wide receiver Devin Street.
Also on Wednesday, the Colts brought back cornerback Darryl Morris to the active roster and placed undrafted cornerback Frankie Williams on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury list. Morris played in six games for the Colts earlier this season.*
