INDIANAPOLIS – The second best statistical season of Andrew Luck's professional career has him slotted No. 51 on the NFL's top 100 players list.
Voted on by players from around the league, Luck's name on this year's list was announced Monday night on NFL Network.
Luck played 15 games last season finishing the year 346-of-545 for 4,240 yards, 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
Despite the lack of practice time, playing through injuries, being under immense duress and fighting through an abundance of drops, Luck still finished 2016 with a career-high in completion percentage (63.5) and yards per attempt (7.8).
Luck's improvement in efficiency also included just a 2.4 interception rate and a 96.4 quarterback rating, both the second-best marks of his career.
After an injury-riddled campaign in 2015, Luck was ranked 92nd on the NFL Network list. Luck was ranked No. 7 the previous year, following the Colts' run to the AFC Championship.
With half of this year's list announced, Luck and T.Y. Hilton (ranked No. 61) are the only Colts named.
Currently, Luck is rehabbing from January right shoulder surgery.
A timetable has yet to be announced for Luck's first practice work of the 2017 offseason.
