INDIANAPOLIS – It's a week that every team in the NFL has to deal with over the course of the regular season.

A pair of games in five days is what the Colts and Titans are dealing with this week and both teams are coming off difficult home losses.

The Titans 29-27 loss to the Jaguars comes with some added insult as quarterback Jake Locker suffered a foot injury, meaning Ryan Fitzpatrick will probably start on Thursday night.

Fitzpatrick is a veteran with 69 starts in 78 career games and Thursday will be his third start in his first year with the Titans.

Pro Bowl running back Chris Johnson has 546 rushing yards on the season with a variety in consistency from week-to-week.

After three games of at least 70 yards to start the season, Johnson has been held under 40 yards six of the last seven contests (had 23 carries for 150 yards two weeks ago).

In the receiving department, Kendall Wright (580 receiving yards) and Nate Washington (468 receiving yards) pace the group. Wright has 21 more catches then any other receiver on the Titans.

Free agent tight end Delanie Walker has four touchdowns on the season and is a versatile threat that lines up all over the field.

Defensively, the Titans have a shutdown, game-breaking corner in Alterraun Verner. The fourth-year cornerback leads the NFL in pass deflections (14) and interceptions (5).

One area the Titans have been particularly successful in is converting third-downs and getting opponents off the field on those downs.

Tennessee is eighth in the league in converting third-downs (42.1 percent) and fifth in the NFL defensively (33.1 percent).

After losing four of their last five games, Tennessee currently sits two games behind the Colts in the AFC South with two games in three weeks against the division leaders.

*2012 Review: *The Titans 2012 campaign spiraled downhill when the Colts came to town on Oct. 28. It was clear after the season though that the Titans had found their franchise quarterback in Jake Locker.
