INDIANAPOLIS — I had a really good feeling about my Week 7 lineup. I mean, a really good feeling.
But while the big-name guys, for the most part, stepped up and did their job, the more "middle-of-the-road" guys, the "value" picks, really fell flat.
The result? Kevin — who had a terrific week — kicked my tail, moving me to 2-5 on the season.
Keep choppin' wood, Andrew. Keep choppin' wood.
Now, I feel really good about my lineup once again this week. Maybe that's because four of my nine spots are taken up by Indianapolis Colts players? Talk about a homer. But, really, I picked guys that have produced all season, and tried to get a guy in Devontae Booker who should really pick up the pace at running back for the Broncos, who put C.J. Anderson on IR.
So, without further ado, here's my full Week 8 FanDuel lineup, sleepers and passes, as well as the full results from last week's action.
As always, send me any chatter, questions, "LOL"s or anything else to @AWalkerColts on Twitter using #FanDuelFF.
Also, be sure to catch this week's FanDuel Fantasy Focus show LIVE around 3:30 p.m. tomorrow (Friday) on Colts.com and/or on the Colts Mobile App, as Caroline Cann, Kevin and myself discuss the upcoming week in fantasy football.Andrew's Week 8 FanDuel Lineup:**
QB:Andrew Luck ($7,900; vs. Kansas City): I don't know how this guy isn't AT LEAST in the $8,000s. He's having the best season of his career, and his price is down $300 this week? Seems a little harsh.RB:Spencer Ware ($7,400; at Indianapolis): Unfortunately, the Colts' run defense does a pretty good job allowing the opposing starting running back to surpass their value for the week. I think that continues this week against Ware, who is coming off a big game last week with 20.1 points.RB:Devontae Booker ($5,600; vs. San Diego): This one is a no-brainer with C.J. Anderson headed to IR for the Broncos. Denver likes the old school approach of running the football on offense, and playing smashmouth defense, and I expect this to continue against the Chargers.WR:Mike Evans ($7,900; vs. Oakland): He's having a tremendous season thus far, and I really think his value is a little low, considering he's playing the Raiders. There's no reason why you wouldn't expect him to have 20 points or more this week.WR:T.Y. Hilton ($7,800; vs. Kansas City): He's by far having the best season of his career, and maybe, just maybe, he can light up the stat sheet against the Chiefs like he did in that memorable, historic come-from-behind playoff victory?WR:Larry Fitzgerald ($7,000; at Carolina): A solid No. 3 option here at the wide receiver position. Now, I wouldn't go out and pair Fitzgerald with Carson Palmer this week — I still don't think Palmer is a safe bet yet coming off his injury — but you know Fitzgerald is going to get a ton of looks in this game against the Panthers.TE:Jack Doyle ($4,900; vs. Kansas City): I actually took Doyle here so I could free up some money to pick up T.Y. Hilton, but, really, that option should've never been available, because Doyle should be valued way, way more than he is. I'm hoping WWJD continues to be a theme against the Chiefs.K:Adam Vinatieri ($5,100; vs. Kansas City): He's the GOAT. Next.DEF:Denver Broncos ($5,000; vs. San Diego): So, the Chargers beat the Broncos in San Diego just two weeks ago, but Rivers wasn't much of a factor. You think he's going to go into Denver, with all that tape the Broncos now have one him, and do any better? Good luck.Andrew's Guys To Pass On:**
RB Ezekiel Elliott ($8,500; vs. Philadelphia): He's had a fine, fine rookie season, obviously. But the Eagles' defensive front is pretty good, and he's bound to get limited at some point this year.
QB Drew Brees ($8,000; vs. Seattle): Brees' price is down $500 this week, and for good reason: the Legion of Boom is coming into New Orleans. I don't think Brees gets the 20 minimum points for you to get your value out of this pick this week.
WR Julio Jones ($9,200; vs. Green Bay): This guy is great, sure, but $9,200 is a very, very steep price. He's averaging 18.14 points per game this year, but he'd need 23 points this week to meet his minimum value.Andrew's Sleepers ($6,000 or less)
TE Jack Doyle ($4,900; vs. Kansas City): HELLO?!? Are the folks setting these prices listening? We said on this show last week Doyle should probably be in the $6,000 range by now, and he goes out and puts up another great performance. He's not even out of the $4,000s this week?
WR Jordan Matthews ($6,000; at Dallas): I like this matchup when he's lined up on the inside vs. the Cowboys. He's had a touchdown and 50-plus yards in three career games against Dallas when he's had at least two targets — he's going to have at least two targets in this one.
TE Kyle Rudolph ($5,100; at Chicago): I think he's good for the 12.75 minimum points he'd need to get in this matchup against the struggling Bears, although Chicago does do decent against opposing tight ends, so we'll see if Rudolph can rise to the occasion on Monday night.———————————Week 7 ResultsAndrew's Week 7 FanDuel Lineup:
