On the Colts' second possession of the period, they took possession at their 44, still trailing by four points. On 3rd-and-9 from the Indianapolis 45, Colts quarterback Peyton Manning threw deep to rookie wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, who evaded a defender, stayed in bounds and scored on a 55-yard catch-and-run play to give the Colts the lead, 24-21, with 10:07 remaining.
