2007: AN EARLY LEAD
COLTS 41, SAINTS 10 It was the season 2007 regular-season opener. It also was the opening game of the NFL's Kickoff Weekend 2007. Kelly Clarkson and Faith Hill were in Indianapolis performing. So was John Mellencamp. Not coincidentally, so were Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and wide receiver Marvin Harrison. The perennial Pro Bowl selections connected for yet another touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in the RCA Dome, the first points of the season for the Colts. On the play, Harrison caught a 27-yard pass just inside the end line to give the Colts a 7-0 lead with 1:36 remaining in the first quarter.
