Acquired by the Colts in a trade with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 30, 2022.
Selected by the Buccaneers in the seventh round (259th overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
2021 (BUCCANEERS):
Appeared in all 17 games and tallied four tackles (one solo) and one forced fumble. He also added 11 special team stops.
Saw action in two postseason contests and registered two special teams tackles.
COLLEGE:
Appeared in 39 games (21 starts) at Houston (2017-20) and recorded 190 tackles (115 solo), 17.0 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, four passes defensed and one fumble recovery.
In 2020, he was named First Team American Athletic All-Conference after he started all seven games and compiled a team-high 61 tackles (35 solo), 5.0 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and one fumble recovery. He was a team captain and led the American Athletic Conference with 8.7 tackles a game and finished fifth in the AAC with 5.0 solo tackles per game.
As a junior, he started 12 games and led the team with 97 tackles (62 solo), 9.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack and four passes defensed. He was selected Second Team American Athletic All-Conference. Finished third in the AAC in total tackles.
In 2018, he appeared in 13 games (one start) and tallied 30 tackles (18 solo), 2.5 tackles for loss and had a team-high 11 special teams stops. He also saw time as a running back during the season and rushed five times for 35 yards.
As a freshman, he saw action in seven games and compiled two tackles.
PERSONAL:
Attended Oak Ridge High School in Conroe, Texas.
Finished his career with 154 tackles and 7.5 sacks.
As a senior, he compiled 68 tackles, 1.5 sacks, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. Also had 43 rushing attempts for 233 yards and three touchdowns.
Named to the first team 12-6A all-district teams in both 2015 and 2016.
Competed in tack and field as well.
He was the final selection in the 2021 NFL Draft and earned the nickname, "Mr. Irrelevant."
Qualified for the 2015 AAU Junior Olympic Championships as a member of The Wings Track Club.
