The Indianapolis Colts select California Golden Bears safety Daniel Scott in Round 5 of the 2023 NFL Draft with the No. 158 overall pick (via a trade with the Minnesota Vikings).

Three of the Colts' 2023 draft picks were placed on season-ending injured reserve prior to roster cuts in late August.

The Indianapolis Colts selected Cal safety Daniel Scott with their fifth-round (No. 158 overall) selection in the 2023 NFL Draft. Scott has versatility for the Indy defense, playing both safety spots and at nickel corner in college, and could be an instant candidate to log special teams snaps.

Scott brings extensive experience as a safety and special teams player to the Colts.
