Competed in 13 games (eight starts) and recorded single-season career highs in tackles (27), solo tackles (22), tackles for loss (4.0), forced fumbles (two) and fumble recoveries (one). His 2.0 sacks were the most by a Lions rookie since Ezekiel Ansah in 2013 (8.0).
COLLEGE:
Appeared in 50 games (nine starts) at Alabama (2014-17) and compiled 71 tackles (30 solo), 10.0 sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. He saw action in three consecutive College Football Playoff National Championships (2015-17) and won two titles with the Crimson Tide (2015, 2017).
In 2017, he earned Second Team All-SEC honors after he saw action in 11 games (nine starts) and tallied 27 tackles (nine solo), 3.0 sacks, one pass defensed and one fumble recovery.
As a junior, he competed in 15 games and recorded 21 tackles (10 solo), 2.0 sacks and one forced fumble.
In 2015, he appeared in 15 games and accumulated 16 tackles (seven solo) and 3.0 sacks.
As a freshman, he saw action in nine games and registered seven tackles (four solo) and 2.0 sacks.
