Fakes enters his seventh season with Indianapolis and his sixth as the club's strength and conditioning assistant. He served as the team's strength and conditioning intern during the 2018 season.
In his current role, Fakes assists with all aspects of sports performance and the strength and conditioning program.
Fakes helped the Colts reach the playoffs in 2018 and 2020.
Before Indianapolis, he served as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Ball State from 2015-17.
Fakes played tight end for five years (2009-2013) at Ball State and totaled 130 receptions for 1,185 yards and nine touchdowns. While at Ball State, he earned First Team All-MAC honors twice (2012, 2013) and Capital One First Team Academic All-America recognition in 2013.
Fakes is originally from Plainfield, Ind. and graduated from Ball State with a degree in exercise science. He also earned his master's degree from Ball State in sport administration. Fakes is CSCS, USAW and FMS certified.
