Minnis is in his first season with the Colts as the team's director of sports performance. He spent the last eight years with the Philadelphia Eagles as director of performance nutrition/assistant strength and conditioning coach (2021-23) and coordinator of performance nutrition/assistant strength and conditioning coach (2016-20).
In Philadelphia, Minnis planned and managed the execution of day-to-day performance nutrition initiatives, administered body composition analysis and evaluated data to enhance performance and recovery. He also assisted with the development and implementation of the strength and conditioning program. Minnis was a member of the team's Super Bowl LII championship team following the 2017 season.
Prior to the NFL, Minnis was the director of performance nutrition at the University of Southern California in 2015, where he worked exclusively with the football program.
Minnis interned with Athletes' Performance (EXOS) and University of Texas athletics before going to USC.
A native of Bucklin, Kan., Minnis earned a bachelor's degree in dietetics (2013) and a master's degree in human nutrition and exercise science (2015) from Kansas State University. He completed his dietetic internship in the College of Allied Health at the University of Oklahoma. Minnis originally attended the University of Kansas, where he received an undergraduate degree in business information systems in 2011. He is a registered dietitian (RD) and a certified strength & conditioning specialist (CSCS).
Minnis and his wife, Emily, have one daughter, Chloe.
