Biography

Jackson enters his fourth season with the Colts and his third as defensive quality control coach. He served as one of two inaugural Tony Dungy Diversity Coaching Fellows for the 2022 season. Jackson came to Indianapolis with seven years of collegiate coaching experience.

In 2024, the Colts ranked tied for seventh in the NFL in takeaways (25) and also finished tied for first in red zone takeaways (six). Indianapolis registered 17 forced fumbles, which ranked tied for third in the NFL. Jackson assisted the defensive backs throughout the season and led safety Nick Cross to a career year. Cross started all 17 games and registered career highs in tackles (145), solo tackles (86), tackles for loss (6.0), passes defensed (five), interceptions (three) and forced fumbles (one). He also guided Samuel Womack III, who the team claimed off waivers after training camp, to single-season career highs in tackles (36), solo tackles (26), passes defensed (nine) and interceptions (two).
