NDIANAPOLIS —Andrew Luck still is rocking the flip phone — though he now admits to using a tablet, so he's not completely shut off from the digital world around him.
Still, Luck's primary exposure to social media, that we know of, is mostly through his "Andrew Luck Book Club" account.
That being said, although it's not really No. 12 behind the controls, it's hard not to get a good laugh out of the Luck parody Twitter account "Capt. Andrew Luck," or @CaptAndrewLuck.
The basis of the account is simple: Luck, who is portrayed as a Civil War captain (the beard really helps push this one along), sends short, thoughtful notes to his mother from the battlefield — most of which align with what's going on with his actual football career (if not somewhat twisted from the real narrative).
As of today, the Capt. Andrew Luck Twitter account — which is following just two other accounts: the Indianapolis Colts and, of course, Ken Burns — has tweeted 389 times and has 203,000-plus followers. Not bad.
But what would one of these tweets sound like if read by *the *Andrew Luck?
Thanks to "Men In Blazers," we have an answer to that question.
Luck this week is a guest on the NBC Sports soccer-centric show for a second time, which is scheduled to hold its Season In Review with the Colts quarterback at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday on NBCSN.
But they were sure to send out a teaser video in which Luck read a @CaptAndrewLuck tweet. Here it is:
Priceless.
Luck also appeared on the show back in early 2015, when the hosts joked that Luck should start his own book club.
Is that where he got the idea?
