This gallery focuses on some of my favorite images from the Colts Wild Card Playoff win over the Chiefs! Shooting a playoff game is a little different from the regular season. The sidelines are a lot more crowded with media...photographers, videographers, reporters, etc. This makes it harder to move around on the sidelines to get the right angle for the best shot. I love the crowded sidelines...the competition between photographers to get that "money shot" makes it an extremely fun environment!
Some of my favorite images from this game were after the play ended. The reaction of the players on and off the field after a big play can be that "money shot" that every photographer wants to capture. It's the split second interaction between two players or the emotional reaction on the sidelines. Somehow these images paint a picture of the game just a much as the peak action images. The image T.Y Hilton hoisted up in the air after his touchdown catch showing off his trademark "T Y" celebration has as much impact as the images of the actual touchdown catch.
