"We actually work on different situations everyday. We take a special period during the middle of practice and we work on the backed-up offense, the four-minute, or two-minute, or long-yardage situations in the game. Just all different types of stuff that can come up. You hope you have an inventory. If something new happens during the season, you just write it down and cover it the following year."

"They're actually doing pretty well. Tom Lopienski I think has a lot more confidence after getting to play a little bit at the end of last year and being around and being involved in the offense for a whole year. Carey Davis is a young man that we got from the University of Illinois that's done well. He can catch the ball. He's not afraid to block, and he's a good athlete. So, between the two of those guys, we think we're in pretty good hands."

"Just playing in game situations and covering a lot of different things. You never know what's going to come up, so you can teach off of those situations. Really get the blue squad, the younger guys, acclimated to playing against really good people and the tempo that it's going to take to win. It's always a fun day."
K-DAVID KIMBALL (on how he is approaching camp) Training Camp
"Basically it's just to prove that I was worthy of a draft selection and do the best kick-offs that I can do."
K-DAVID KIMBALL (on keeping two kickers) Training Camp
"I guess a lot of teams don't carry two [kickers] but it's an upcoming trend. I think it's just up to me to prove that it's worth it to carry two guys. People don't realize how many yards you can save for the defense if you can really pin them back there. My goal is just to help the defense as much as I can by keeping the returns to a minimum."
DB-NICK HARPER (on the increasing rules regarding pass interference in the NFL) Training Camp
"[Receivers] already have it too easy. Yesterday we had a meeting with the [NFL] officials and a lot of DBs stayed behind because we had to get some things cleared up. Last year I had a couple of calls that were very questionable. They're making it now so that you can't touch receivers, period. They're making it really hard on us."
RB-TOM LOPIENSKI (on the experience gained from playing at the University Notre Dame) Training Camp
"There you have to win week-in and week-out, and just the type of scrutiny you get there as a player and the competition there is very tough. It made me a better player, I thought, coming out of it. Dealing with that and playing with top teams every year, you had to be on top of your game because you're playing against the best every week."
