QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the progress of training camp)
"We are off to a good start. I thought last week was really good. This week everyone has a little extra jump in their step because we have a game Saturday. The young guys are exited and the old guys are excited to go against somebody different. It will be good to see some different looks."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on practicing goal line situations)
"Well, that is something we want to improve on from last year. I think getting stopped at the goal line once is too many times. Those are things that are going to decide ball games, especially when you have a crucial third and one."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on today's practice)
"I think it was a pretty good practice. We got some goal line short yardage work in, which we really need. We have to be more consistent in that area. I thought as we got into the drill, the tempo picked up a little. All in all, it was a pretty good day."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the intensity level of the goal line drills)
"There is no way to really easy into it. It is probably as close to live as you can get in the preseason and both sides what to win. It is kind of fun to watch."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the cornerbacks)
"We've got about six guys who we think can play. It is a matter of learning and getting consistent play. They are all doing well, and we are getting some veteran leadership from guys who know what they are looking for. It will be interesting to see who will perform in the guys.
