HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on how the first day of camp went) Training Camp
"I guess as a coach, you're always looking for perfection and looking for excellence. I thought we were good, but not to what I was expecting. We've got some work to do, but our energy was good and our effort was good."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on if the heat bothered him) Training Camp
"No, it wasn't really that hot out there, so I think we made it through okay. We had a couple of guys at the end of practice that we've got to make sure to keep hydrating, but overall, it was okay."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the lack of new faces on the field) Training Camp
"Well, we actually do have a lot of new faces. In our rookie class, we expect a lot of those guys to contribute. Maybe not a lot of well-known faces yet, but I think some of the young guys are really going to help us."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on those players who didn't practice) Training Camp
"Yeah, we've got some guys who we're limiting to one-a-days. Just precautionary, for instance, Marcus Pollard and Ben Hartsock are going to be in that category. We've got some guys that weren't quite ready to go yet: Raheem Brock, still on rehabilitation, Stanford Samuels, a couple of guys that way."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on Cato June's confidence growing) Training Camp
"I think he's much more comfortable playing at linebacker fulltime. He was very impressive during offseason work and he had a good day today. He's playing a position where you get a chance to make a lot of plays and I think he has the ability to do that."
RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on whether or not he would be at camp this year) Training Camp
"All year, it's been the same thing. Ever since the beginning of the off-season, the question came whether or not I'd be here. The approach I took was like when I came out of college. I just took care of myself and everything else will take care of its self. Where ever I play at, I can ball. I don't worry about where I am or whomever I'm lined up behind. It's a matter of who wants you and that's what it boils down to."
RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on whether or not he would want to play here or in South Florida) Training Camp
"Everybody knows about me. If I don't want to be somewhere, I wouldn't even show up. I'm under contract here and I'm going to do what I need to do until it's over and then once that's over, we'll go from there."
RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on how all of the stories began in the first place) Training Camp
"It was just a dead period and it's something that just keeps things live around here. Sometimes it gets kind of dull and I guess I bring a lot of excitement."
RB-EDGERRIN JAMES (on the reaction in South Florida with Ricky Williams) Training Camp
"I have a lot of friends that are Dolphins fans and they were disappointed. There's nothing I can do about it and it's not something that I should entertain.
