Colts to Hold Fifth Make It Personal Tour in May, June,
July
INDIANAPOLIS - The Colts will be playing their 25th season in Indianapolis next season, and they'll be doing so in a new, state-of-the-art stadium.
To help celebrate, they're Making it Personal once again.
The Colts 2008 Make It Personal Tour – sponsored by Bluegreen Resorts, Grange Insurance, Meijer and the United States Army – will kick off at the Lafayette Meijer on Monday, May 19, from 4-6 p.m. The tour will continue across Indiana through July 18.
"We provide hundreds of free events for our fans every year," Colts Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tom Zupancic said. "The Make It Personal Tour is our way of giving back to our fans and to thank them for their continued sup
"We want our fans all across the state to be able to touch the Colts franchise in their own backyards."
This is the fifth consecutive year the Colts have hosted a summer traveling road show featuring players and Colts Cheerleaders.
Elements on the tour will include "Meet and Greets" with Colts players or alumni players and cheerleaders, with fans also able to participate in the Big Blue Blood Drive by donating at the Indiana Blood Center mobile units. Fans can also register kids for the Colts Kids Club, register to win Colts preseason tickets and win free Colts giveaways.
They also can experience the redesigned Colts In Motion traveling museum.
Colts In Motion, a 42-foot trailer, acts as the centerpiece of the Colts' regional outreach marketing effort and is equipped with interactive video, a quarterback challenge football toss and features of Lucas Oil Stadium, the new state-of-the-art stadium in downtown Indianapolis.
The Colts will begin play at Lucas Oil Stadium next season.
Colts In Motion also features a behind-the-scenes look at the entire Colts' organization.
ESPN the Magazine recently honored the Colts as the No. 1 franchise of the top four pro sports, a ranking based upon numerous factors, including how teams give back to fans.
SPECIAL NOTE: The Colts encourage fans to arrive at Make It Personal Tour stops early. The line for player and cheerleader autographs may be cut off at any time to ensure the Tour remains on schedule. Inclement weather or traffic may cause for late arrival or early departure. All Make It Personal Tour stops will take place rain or shine.
Team practice schedules and meeting times may cause for players to arrive late or depart early. Colts player names will not be announced prior to the arrival in each city. Fans will be allowed one autograph per person. Fans may get back in line for additional autographs. All Colts Make It Personal Tour stop times are local.
