Tony Dungy Mini-Camp Quotes Day 3

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (General Comments) Sunday “We are finishing up the week.  So far pretty good.

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (General Comments) *Sunday *

"We are finishing up the week.  So far pretty good.  I think our young guys are getting a good feel of how we do things.  It's been real good work.  We had a good productive last session, and we should be in good shape."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On WR-Roy Hall's comeback) Sunday

" Roy is doing fine.  He's done a lot of work.  I think even by the end of the season last year he might have been ready to go.  I think he feels good physically.  He's done a lot of work catching the ball, running routes in the off-season and he's progressing just fine."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On RB-Joseph Addai's production the second half of the year and if he wore down) Sunday

"I really didn't see him wearing down.  I just think as a whole we didn't run the ball as well in the second half of the year as we would have liked.  We had different backs playing, different linemen and a lot of different reasons.  I didn't see anything in terms of wearing down.  Edgerrin's (James) case was something that was very unique.  I think it's tough for a back to carry the ball that many times and play 16 games.  It's hard to do.  I think what we're seeing with Joseph (Addai) is pretty much the norm in the league and I think we'll continue that."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On how he feels about the group this year and how last year ended) Sunday

"I think you're a little more disappointed when the year doesn't finish off as well, but we try to do the same thing.  We try to move forward and make our corrections, look back, build on what happened well, but not really dwell on it.  This is a new year and hopefully we're starting from scratch.  You just want to divorce the past and move ahead into the future."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On who stood out at mini-camp) Sunday

"I really don't look to evaluate much.  We're trying to get information to these guys.  I like the way our team has approached it.  I like the mental attitude of the veterans and the learning attitude of the rookies.  Everything's been on pace.  It will be much farther into the OTA's and the summer before we really start to evaluate."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On teams potentially game planning for DB-Bob Sanders) Sunday

"I don't think it will be any different.  Bob had a great year last year.  He's the guy in our defense you have to know where he is and he has been a key to it.  I think people do game plan for him and I don't think it will be much different than what he's faced.  We have talked a little about keeping that edge.  Once you get to a certain level, you get to be a Pro Bowl player and a guy that the league respects; you want to play that way all the time.  I know Bob has that in him."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On the goals of the next few weeks) Sunday

"Two things.  To build on that team chemistry.  Get our tempo going and getting everybody comfortable with each other and getting our new guys to learn exactly what we're doing and bringing them along.  Those are the two big things you hope to get out of this."

HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (On participation in the summer school sessions) Sunday
