HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on being as simple as win and reach the playoffs) Wednesday, December 26, 2007* *
"Yes, it doesn't get much clearer than that. We had a tough stretch there for three weeks and then we kind of got back on track. It's good to at least have things in your own control as compared to where things were last year and even last week for that matter."
HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on if he has to say a whole lot to his team this week or does everyone already know what they need to do) Wednesday, December 26, 2007
"No, you get ready, you have a good week of practice, you stress improvement, you heal up, you pay attention to detail and get yourself ready to play probably the toughest game of the year and a game that you definitely have to win if you want to continue to play."
HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on any concern on guys being too hyped or too tight) Wednesday, December 26, 2007
"No, I'm not concerned with this club. This is a good group of guys. They understand. They've been able to bounce back. We've won consecutive games, we've lost consecutive games, we've bounced back after tough losses, so they have a good perspective about what it is you have to do."
HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on if he concerns himself at all with the fact the Colts may play their reserves for much of the game) Wednesday, December 26, 2007
"No, you can't. Their decisions are their decisions. We have to put together a game plan and we have to expect or prepare to play the Colts' starting unit for four quarters. You can't let those kinds of things distract you."
HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on DE-Kyle Vanden Bosch) Wednesday,
"It really has been truly a great season for him, considering the number of plays he's played and the number of plays he's made. Beyond the facts, you're all familiar with what pressure can do for a defense. He's just playing the run very well, he's playing, he's practicing, he's just been a great example for the younger guys and couldn't be happier for Kyle. He's had a number of sacks taken away, he's had hits on quarterbacks and balls have fluttered and resulted in interceptions. It's just been a very, very productive year for him."
HEAD COACH JEFF FISHER (on DT-Albert Haynesworth possibly being named Defensive Player-of-the-Year) Wednesday, December 26, 2007
"There's a lot of really good defensive players in our conference, Bob Sanders for one. There's a number of others that I think will be mentioned. It's good for Albert just to be mentioned along with some of those other very, very productive players."
