HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on the end of the first week) *Training Camp *
"Good, in a lot of ways. I really like our attitude and the way we are going about things. Some of our young guys made some plays all week and I think we are going to be a fast team. We're going to be an explosive team on offense. I see a lot of good signs."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on WR-Roy Hall) Training Camp
" Roy can make some plays. He has great speed and size. He did some good things on special teams, caught a couple of balls which was good to see. All in all I think he's had a good line of work."
HEAD COACH TONY DUNGY (on DE-Keyunta Dawson) Training Camp
"(Defensive Line Coach) John [Teerlinck] has worked him more and more inside and really feels that's going to be his spot. So, we got him in there some yesterday and a lot today and he made some things happen."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how today went) Training Camp
"It's been a good week I think. Off to a good start. We have put a lot of things in. Like I said earlier, it's always nice to see these guys for the first time in pads. Some of the young guys have gotten off to a good start, I think with their knowledge. The main thing you want to try to see know is as few mental mistakes as possible. We are going, on Thursday, to Dallas on national TV, and you want to have guys in the right places and doing the right things."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on wanting to see where you are at) Training Camp
"You certainly do. For me, I go by how comfortable I feel calling the plays and not having to repeat them or tell one of the young guys what to do. Just about the whole week we have called the plays and operated in normal fashion. Some of these young guys like (Anthony) Gonzalez and Tony (Ugoh) are not wide-eyed in there and you can tell they have been in their playbooks, which is good and that's what you want to see out of these guys, guys that are doing things on their own to get ready to play."
