Colts Two-Time Pro Bowl Safety Undergoes Surgery
INDIANAPOLIS – Bob Sanders recently underwent knee surgery.
Sanders, the Colts' two-time Pro Bowl safety and the 2007 Associated Press Defensive Player of the Year, underwent arthroscopic surgery on one of his knees recently, according to Colts Owner and Chief Executive Officer Jim Irsay.
Sanders, who sustained a high-ankle sprain in the Colts' Week 2victory over Minnesota, had the knee surgery because the feeling was the recovery process with the sprain would take longer than that of the knee surgery, according to Irsay.
Sanders missed the Colts' loss to Jacksonville this past Sunday and is out an indefinite period of time.
