QB-PEYTON MANNING (on this week and leading into the playoffs)
"It's the Dolphins this week. We have a home game and we're playing a really good team, a team whose record really doesn't coincide with the kind of team that they have, defensively especially. They have great defensive players, guys that we're real familiar with like Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas. We haven't played these guys in a while, but you pop on the film and it looks very familiar to you. So, we just want to get back on a winning track. We have a good winning record here at home and would like to keep that going. We need to come out and play well this Sunday, that's for sure."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on trying to be on the same page heading into the postseason)
"Yes. I guess it's a somewhat different scenario from last year, but you have the idea, like every week, to try to come out and be sharp and execute. Like (Head) Coach (Tony) Dungy said, we'd like to put one of those games together where really all three phases kind of come together and try to play our best game of the season if we can. We strive for that week to week and have come close at times, but it would be a great time to put it together this Sunday."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on playing well at home)
"No question, the last two games at home we have played well and beaten two good teams in Cincinnati and Philly. So, I've always thought it really shouldn't matter, home or away. If you're playing good football and executing and sharp, you should be able to win no matter where you play. But it seems so far this season we have probably played more of our better football here at home. So, we'd sure like that to continue, but us being at home doesn't guarantee that. You still have to have a good week of practice and have to come out and execute well."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on what is the true barometer of where this team is at)
"I don't know. Obviously, consistency is something that we're shooting for. We haven't been as consistent as we would like, but you take a game like Cincinnati and a game like Philadelphia and it certainly shows what we're capable of. Both of those games we had good weeks of practice, but we had good weeks of practice the past few weeks as well. It's pretty simple when you watch the film. When we're winning games, we're doing a lot of the little things well and the execution is real sharp. That's what you have to do against good teams in the NFL."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how he thinks the offense is playing)
"It's such a week to week process, I think, and obviously we have our same goals and same concepts that we try to achieve
