QB-PEYTON MANNING (on with having consecutive road games, will it be nice to return home) * *
"It sure will. Two good road games we've had, two good wins, but it will be nice to get back home on kind of a normal schedule. Last time, we played on a Thursday night. We're playing a familiar opponent, a team we've always had some close games with. It seems like we've played them more recently out there, but we play them here at home. They're 2-1 and easily could be 3-0. It will be a good challenge for us."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on how it will be seeing WR-Brandon Stokley playing for the Broncos)
"I think for our defense, it will probably somewhat familiar. They're pretty used to seeing him in practice. I have to say, nobody ever covered him really good in practice the time he was here, so I know they know what kind of challenge they'll have in going against Brandon on Sunday. Obviously once we lost him along with some of the other players this offseason, it was disappointing and difficult and it takes a little time to get on with it, but happy to see he's back healthy. Not a surprise at all to me that he's gotten back healthy so fast, and glad to see he's out there playing well."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the way the Colts attack Denver, and it being a new year and new team)
"This year, it is a new team, it's a new defense, a new defensive scheme. They have some new players. Dre' Bly is their other corner to go along with (Champ) Bailey, so they have two excellent cover corners. Even though it's the same head coach in Coach (Mike) Shanahan, they're kind of forming their own identity, just like we are as well. It will be a good AFC test for both teams this week, and looking forward to the challenge."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the Colts also having a good defense in the two-minute drill)
"It was a great stop they had against the Titans in a two-minute situation, just trying to keep the team from getting a field goal, and held them out of that situation. And then in the Houston game, there was a situation before the half where Houston was trying to get some points and our defense held them. So no question, we have some playmakers over there that can stop a critical drive when they need to. It's been good to see."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the red zone production)
"We're getting down there a lot and having a lot of opportunities. It's something we always stress in practice. About five years ago, we started adding more plays to the practice schedule as far as red zone opportunities, and we've always emphasized it in training camp. So we'll keep doing that and just keep trying to be more efficient down there. I think we still, for the most part—I guess we had one missed field goal—but we are getting points. But you certainly like to have touchdowns more than field goals. We'll keep stressing that and hopefully we can get down there some this game and be able to punch it in the end zone if we do."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on WR-Reggie Wayne having some big games against Denver and if that means anything)
"It's hard to say. They have a new system, a new defensive coordinator, some new players. The couple of times we've played them recently, our execution has just been good, but it's nothing too specific to them. I think we've
