QB-PEYTON MANNING (on a big division game at Houston) * *
"A big game, a division game on the road. Once the schedule came out, certainly the opener, we knew that was going to be big. We knew right away we were getting into the division, and having to go on the road back-to-back in the division is tough. We're coming off a good win, and we're going to have a tough challenge this week."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on Houston sneaking up on some people, but not the Colts)
"Yes, off to a great start. They've had two good wins, just like us, one at home, one on the road. Down 14-0 at Carolina, which anytime you're on the road, to come from behind is big. So, I know they'll be excited to be playing at home again this week with the first division game for them."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on if they are differently defensively)
"Their defense is a big reason they're getting the lead. They're causing some turnovers. They caused Carolina a lot of three-and-outs and created some good field position for their offense. They're playing well as a unit, so that's the challenge for us, is to try to protect the ball and try to move the ball against a good defense."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the Texans' defense)
"Their defensive line is solid. It's been stout against the run and has helped create some of those turnovers. They're solid across the board. The front is good, the linebackers are active and the secondary is athletic. So, it's a solid, sound defense."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on it being a big game for the Texans' franchise)
"It's a big game for us as well. We've had a lot of close games there in years past. Even the ones that we've won, the majority of them have gone down to the wire. We know it will be a tough game this week. There are some things we need to do better this week and improve on, and hopefully we can take that to the field on Sunday."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the way Joseph Addai has fit into the offense and looks like Edgerrin James)
"He's done a heck of a job. I think he's trying to create his own identity, but he certainly does some of those same great things that Edgerrin did in the fact that he's a physical runner that takes a lot of hits, always gets up. He catches the ball well. One play (at Tennessee), he caught like a three-yard pass and made a linebacker miss, then picked up a nine-yard gain. And his pass protection is extremely solid. He's physical to take on linebackers and sometimes even defensive linemen. So, he's going to be a huge part of what we hope to accomplish this year, and he's off to a good start."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on DB-Bob Sanders getting Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors)
"The defense has played well these first two weeks. Bob gets a lot of the attention and deserves it, but I think they're playing well together. I think the
