QB-PEYTON MANNING (on what he expects from the offense Saturday vs. Buffalo)
"It will be nice to get (RB) Dominic (Rhodes) back in the lineup and try to get him in there maybe with the first-team line and get him some carries. Obviously, some new guys are going to be in there to play at receiver with Troy (Walters') injury, so you get (Brad) Pyatt and (Aaron) Moorehead some more repetitions. So, it's just another chance to improve and hopefully come out and stay healthy against a good Buffalo defense."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on if he is on schedule with how he likes to pace himself during the preseason)
"Yeah, I feel good about where I am, and I think offensively, certainly there are some good things we did and some things we can improve on. (This week) is another chance to do that."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on if this week is close to a regular game week)
"Well, that's kind of how we approach it. With (Head) Coach (Tony) Dungy, we always take this third week and game plan and try to give everybody an idea of what a routine game week is going to be like."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on the running game)
"That's been an emphasis for us all year long. That's something we did a pretty good job of against the (New York) Jets last week. We want to keep that going, especially down in the red zone area, trying to run the ball well. We actually ran it pretty well against them last year, against a good run defense. It's always a good challenge to go against their front four and their fast linebackers. We're not revealing any secrets by saying we do want to run the ball. That will be our plan all year, and we'll try to get that established this Saturday, but it will be a big challenge against the Bills."
QB-PEYTON MANNING (on RB-Edgerrin James)
"He looks good to me. I've said he looked good in training camp. I thought he ran and made some good cuts and some good reads running the ball against the (New York) Jets, against what I think is still probably one of the top front fours in the league. I thought they were good holes–a real credit to the offensive line and tight ends for providing those holes. I thought he was hitting them down-hill, and that was a good sign."
