"Well, it was a heck of a football game. Obviously, a tough loss. I thought we did a lot of things well and in the end just came up a little bit short, by a few inches or whatever it was. So, you have to give the Colts credit-that's why the Colts are the Colts. They are a good football team. That's about as close as you can get without the win. I'm disappointed but we'll move on."

"They got it into the Red area and then finished the drive. They started on the thirty, twenty-nine-yard-line and they finished the drive."
QB-TOM BRADY (on why they went for it on 4th and 2)
"We had an opportunity to win the game. All you can really ask for as an offense is to take a chance there on third and two and then again on fourth and two. We'd worked on that play for a long time and it just came up a half yard short."
QB-TOM BRADY (on trying to draw the Colts offsides rather than actually snapping the ball)
"We had a lot of good plays today. We were very efficient at times moving the ball and Coach has a lot of confidence that we are able to do that to win the game. You punt it to them, and they showed on the drive before that they can go down pretty quickly and score. They also had some time out's left. So, we make that play and we thought we'd win the game. Run on three snaps and punt it to them deep with thirty seconds. Coach was being aggressive and I love that about him. He gave us a chance to make the play and we just didn't do it."
QB-TOM BRADY (on having any input on the decision)
"They just said we're going. The punt team came out and they called time out and changed it up. It's a bummer, but we are 6-3 and still on top of the division."
RB-KEVIN FAULK (on the spot of his 4th down catch)
"I thought I had it. But it doesn't matter to me. The officials made the call."

"It doesn't matter what decision Bill's making. We've got to execute the play no matter what. You can't be surprised. The game is on the line so you have to be able to go and get it done."

"When you lose a game you are never excited. So you have to shake these cobwebs off , move on and look at the mistakes and worry about next week."

"Yes. We get a voice to go out there and execute the play and convert on third or fourth down. That's our opportunity to do something about it and we didn't do it."

"I didn't think about it. That's the coach's decision. They make the calls and our job is to execute the plays. We didn't execute that play on fourth down. If we did we wouldn't be in this situation."

"This game is always tough to get over. When you win it's tough to get over because you are so exited. When you lose it's tough to get over because you are so disappointed. You have to get over it. You have to move on. You have to get ready for next week."
LB-DERRICK BURGESS (on the Patriots doing anything differently defensively in the second half)
"We just have to play better. That's all I can tell you. I don't know what they did. All I can worry about is what we got to do, and that's play better."

"We played four quarters. You are going to get tired but that's not the reason that happened. It happened. That's it."
LB-ADALIUS THOMAS (on what made the Colts more effective in the second half)
"It's Peyton (Manning). It's the best offense. You just go out there and try to make plays. In that crucial situation you have to play good situational football and we just didn't get the job done."

"I have no idea. You can ask Bill (Belichick) I guess. I don't know why he went for it. I'm pretty sure he thought we could get it. I don't know why he went for it."

"It's definitely disappointing. You fight that hard at the end of the game. It's a close game and you don't come up with the victory. It's definitely going to be tough on everybody."
CB-LEIGH BODDEN (on playing a complete game for most of this game)
"I think we played a pretty good game. They made a lot of plays and so did we. It was kind of back and forth. They came back in the second half and played well, which we knew they would do. They are undefeated for a reason. We knew we'd have to go out and fight and that it was going to be a battle."
CB-LEIGH BODDEN (on whether the fourth down call was lack of faith in the defense)
"I wouldn't say that. You have to look at it, if we don't get it then they've got the ball right there. So he has to have faith in our defense that we can stop them. I don't think it was a lack of faith in anybody. I think he (Coach) believed in either one, that the offense would get it and the defense would stop it."
