MANNING NOMINATED

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning has been nominated for the NFL's FedEx Air NFL Player of the Week Award for his performance against the Houston Texans this past Sunday. Manning threw two touchdown passes without an interception in a 33-27 Colts victory.

Colts Quarterback Nominated for Weekly NFL Award
INDIANAPOLIS – Peyton Manning this past Sunday helped the Colts to a third consecutive victory.

Because of that, he has been nominated for a weekly NFL honor.

Manning, the Colts' eight-time Pro Bowl quarterback, has been nominated for the NFL's FedEx Air Player of the Week Award for his performance in the Colts' 33-27 victory over the Houston Texans at Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis Sunday.

Manning completed 30 of 46 passes for 320 yards and two touchdowns against the Texans, and was nominated for the award along with Kerry Collins of Tennessee and Kurt Warner of Arizona. Fans can vote for one player in the category on NFL.com/FedEx from 9 a.m. EST Tuesday through 11 a.m. EST Friday.

The winner will be announced Friday afternoon on NFL.com.
